I did the Nature Lovers Hike + Paint Trail. This was an absolutely amazing experience, Sarah is so warm and welcoming. She has a peaceful energy that is so easy to share in. She is extremely knowledgeable about the trail and the history. I learned so much and I will definitely do it again when I’m in Colorado. I recommend everyone have this experience.

My excursion was absolutely amazing!! The guide was very sweet and knowledgeable about the local area. I did the easy hike, which was very easy and would be great for beginners, families, or someone looking so a light activity. The painting was extremely fun and the guide walked me through each step while encouraging me to take risks and make the painting my own. 10/10 experience would definitely recommend!!

Sarah is such a creative, mindful and responsible art guide. She took my wife and I to a great spot in Boulder and inspired us to create and connect with nature and art outdoors. It was my first experience with acrylic painting and Sarah made sure we had everything we needed in a safe and beautiful spot. A trully plein air experience!

My daughter and I had a great time hiking and painting under the pines. Sarah brought us back to nature allowing us to experience it's beauty and appreciate the local trails. Even for this inexperienced painter, I came out with a painted canvas I am proud of. It was a perfect way to spend a beautiful fall morning with my creative daughter!

My friend and I went on The Aspen Trailblazer Hike and Paint and it was amazing! Sarah was an awesome guide and teacher. Neither of us are artists, but she gave us tips and techniques that allowed us to create paintings we both are proud of. She is so nice, informative and had us take time to really appreciate the beautiful surroundings. We both said we would do it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend Sarah and Abstract Adventures.

What a beautiful way to experience the ocean & then the mountains…painting them allows you to see them in an entirely different way…Sarah is a natural & patient & supportive teacher…she really made it all possible to actually “paint the ocean & trees”… a memorable experience…can’t wait for her return or my visit to Denver! Sarah hosted two amazing events for our group through Abstract Adventure’s Impact Adventure Collab Program and it truly was a dream come true as Ive always wanted to do a hike and paint - and we got to do two! Between our beach paint and mountains paint sessions, we learned so many new techniques and got to enjoy the Great Outdoors. She was thoughtful in her hiking route, making time for breaks, hitting note worthy sights and even brought snacks and all of the painting supplies herself! We couldn’t have asked for a better host, and if you have the chance to work with Sarah you will know just how genuine her passion for the outdoors and arts are! Sarah is a great artist and facilitator. She does a great job teaching painting techniques and focusing on the experience versus perfection. She is kind and encouraging. I had a wonderful time with two paint and hike experiences.

couldn’t recommend this more! myself and a friend has the pleasure of having a hike with just us and sarah. she was both knowledgeable, kind and so supportive of us for our journey. i came excited and left overjoyed, centered and grateful. the painting was so fun too! we took the “moderate” hike but it was totally doable for those who are not active hikers or might be nervous for the climb. everyone book this experience asap!

What a nice low key way to introduce ourselves to the mountain region after moving to Denver from North Carolina. Sarah did a nice job of helping us detach from our day-to-day, connect with nature, and “climb our first mountain” which involved a casual walk up trails in Mount Falcon Park. Perfect for those of us acclimating to mile plus altitude. The setting for our painting lesson was delightful as was the instruction. We each came away with a unique painted canvas. Thumbs up! Sarah led us on a wonderful 3 mile hike that included an immersive paining session. She was knowledgeable about the area while hiking and took us through a wonderful painting session. This was a truly unique half day experience that allowed us to enjoy nature and truly unleash our creativity. A truly one of a kind Colorado experience.

Sarah has put together a truly wonderful experience with the guided hike and paint! She took us on a moderate 2 mile and focused us on our beautiful surroundings, plant life, history and light patterns. We were then able to incorporate what we saw into our painting as she taught us techniques to create mountains, use painting tools and overall make a memorable painting. Can’t recommend this experience enough!
