Our team recently participated in a hike + paint excursion with Abstract Adventures as part of our agency retreat, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip! The hike was a steady climb, but with frequent stops along the way, making it accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Along the route, we learned about the history of the Flatirons and Chautauqua area, which added such a unique and interesting layer to the experience. The painting portion was equally memorable. Working with local artists gave us a perspective we never would have gotten otherwise, and their connection to the area really shone through in the experience they created. Everyone we met was incredibly kind, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. Most importantly, it provided a rare opportunity for our team to disconnect from work, reconnect with one another, and spend meaningful time together in nature. It was a special experience that left us feeling refreshed, inspired, and more connected as a group. A huge thank you to Sarah for leading such a wonderful tour. I cannot recommend Abstract Adventures enough. This hike and paint outdoor experience was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The owner was amazing, so down to earth, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about creating a fun and memorable experience for everyone. The combination of being outdoors, hiking, and getting to paint in such a beautiful setting made the whole trip feel unique, relaxing, and inspiring. It was the perfect mix of adventure, creativity, and good energy. Whether you’re artistic or just looking for something different and meaningful to do, this is such a special experience. I would absolutely do it again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, refreshing, and unforgettable outdoor adventure.

This was genuinely one of the most unique date experiences I’ve been on. Paint and sips are everywhere, but you rarely find an experience that combines hiking, nature, and art the way this one does. Sarah is incredibly kind, down to earth, and so thoughtful throughout the entire experience — and also very patient if your painting starts looking a little more “accidentally abstract” than intentionally artistic 🙂 Could not recommend this enough for a date idea, friend outing, or honestly just a different way to spend a day outside.

Sarah is an incredible guide; highly knowledgeable and passionate about both nature and art and shares that with her guests in a an extremely accessible manner.. She is kind, accommodating and thoughtful! She even brought cupcakes for my friend’s birthday! Truly could not have asked for a better experience. 10/10 recommend 🫶

I did the Nature Lovers Hike + Paint Trail. This was an absolutely amazing experience, Sarah is so warm and welcoming. She has a peaceful energy that is so easy to share in. She is extremely knowledgeable about the trail and the history. I learned so much and I will definitely do it again when I’m in Colorado. I recommend everyone have this experience.

This was a wonderful experience. Sarah was super knowledgeable, friendly, and went out of her way to make sure we had an enjoyable experience.
