We’re trading acrylics for watercolor as Jo Nova guides us through beginner-to-intermediate landscape painting techniques using varied brushes and a take-home plein air watercolor tin.

The event begins at 9 AM with a 3-mile moderate guided hike through wildflower-filled meadows and shady forest trails. Along the way, soak in stunning Front Range views before settling into a serene trailside studio space.

This grounded outdoor setting is designed to spark inspiration. All supplies are provided, and every brushstroke is about enjoying the moment and magic of plein air watercolor.

Meet Jo Nova
Jo Nova is a Boulder-area artist who specializes in both realistic and interpretive landscape art. Harnessing the magic wrapped up in the natural world throughout her pieces, she works across several mediums from watercolor to oil painting and more.
As a lifelong creative, Jo dove into plein air painting and immersed herself in the world of art over a decade ago. She continues to rapidly evolve and grow her practice, remaining inspired by the depth of human connection to the natural world throughout her journey.
